Counselling Services
Using the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), I provide counselling for individuals who are suffering the effects of stress or depression. I provide a natural treatment for depression for many clients who want to fight their depression without the use of anti-depressants. The method I use, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is highly effective for treating depression.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) works by combining two well established sciences:
- Mind body medicine
- Acupuncture (without the needles)
In essence, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture, as we vibrate the meridian lines by tapping on them with our fingers while at the same time telling our brains what it is we want to work on. This enables your body to release the energy disruption and clear your negative emotion or mental block.
I also use Bach Flowers in my practice as I find they work extremely well the Emotional Freedom Technique and on their own. More information about these can be found on the Bach Flowers page of this website.

I treat clients for depression in my therapy room at 54 Primrose Avenue, Rosyth, Fife, Scotland, KY11 2SS on Mondays to Fridays. (evening appointments available)

I will also work with you to treat your depression over the telephone or through the Internet on Skype. These options are available for clients who live further away, or abroad, or who can’t come to my office due to illness or a disability.
Length of Therapy Sessions
My counselling sessions last approximately 45 minutes. They include Emotional Freedom Technique and EFT tapping homework, if deemed appropriate. Longer sessions are available upon request.
The length of our work together will be by mutual consent and will depend on the number of aspects contributing to your depression and your willingness to work through these aspects.
My experience is that once your have felt the benefit of EFT counselling sessions, you will look forward to your subsequent therapy sessions.
I usually recommend weekly counselling sessions to begin treating your depression until you reach a stronger coping level. Therapy sessions are then extended to fortnightly and finally, monthly sessions as you progress to full emotional fitness.
The length of time taken varies from client to client, however, the decision is at all times in your hands. I am more than happy to be guided by you as to how many sessions you require and when these should be scheduled.
It is important that you feel in control of your therapeutic journey and I will guide and support you through this.
