Bach Flower Remedies
The original Bach Flower Remedies were discovered by Dr Edward Bach in the 1930’s.
Dr Bach devoted his life to finding a safe, simple and effective answer to people’s distress. Through research and the rigorous study of human nature, he became convinced that at the heart of all the distress and disease lay an imbalance in emotional outlook and that our fear, suspicion, anger, greed, discouragement and other negative feelings may stand in the way of our contentment, joy, inner peace and good health.
He went onto develop 38 plant and flower remedies which correct and rebalance the body’s energies and emotions. These are divided into 7 headings:
- For fear -
Rock Rose, Mimulus, Cherry Plum, Aspen & Red Chestnut - For Uncertainty -
Cerato, Scleranthus, Gentian, Gorse, Hornbeam & Wild Oat - For Insufficient Interest in Present Circumstances -
Clematis, Honeysuckle, Wild Rose, Olive, White Chestnut, Mustard & Chestnut Bud. - For Loneliness -
Water Violet, Impatiens, & Heather - For Over-Sensitivity to Influences and Ideas -
Agrimony, Centaury, Walnut, & Holly. - For Despondency or Despair –
Larch, Pine, Elm, Sweet Chestnut, Star of Bethlehem, Willow, Oak & Crab Apple. - Over-Care for Welfare of Others –
Chicory, Vervain, Vine, Beech & Rock Water
Bach Flowers are extremely safe and can be taken by anyone without fear of overdose, side-effects or addiction. They will not interfere with other forms of treatment and work extremely well in conjunction with Emotional Freedom Technique.
